Question and Answers from Shakyh Rabees lecture on April 6, 2003 plus advice dating back to September 4, 2002

This is the excellent advice given by the Noble Shaykh, the Imaam of al-Jarh wat-Ta'deel, Rabee` bin Haadee al-Madkhalee, on the 6th of April 2003 to all the Salafees in general regarding the differences that have occurred and can occurs and he called to checking of one's soul and maintaining sincerity and purity in ones intentions and actions. The Shaykh stressed the importance of sticking to the Book and the Sunnah upon the way of the Salaf, and he also warned from splitting and differing as this weakens the strength of the Salafees specifically and the Ummah in general. He also warned against nameemah and qeel and qaal that is the cause of much mischief and corruption. He ordered with the taqwaa of Allaah and unity for the sake of Allaah and nothing else, and loving and hating for his sake and not for anything else. The Shaykh also advised with keeping away from all the causes of iftiraaq and also from those who seek to cause iftiraaq between the Salafees.

The advice of the Shaykh was followed by a beneficial question and answer session, in which the Shaykh elaborated further.

The Questioner asked: 'Is this a new, concerning this Fitnan, is this a new sheet , a new page that the Salafee's of England are turning over concerning this Fitnah, concerning this, the differing that has taken place, Ya'nee[meaning] and that they should forget that which has taken place by our differences prior to this sitting?'

Shaykh Rabee' (Hafidhuhullaah) replied: 'I hope that this is a new sheet that is turned over by the brothers, and that I hope that they observe the status of this Da'wah that they have, with the Millah (path) that they are upon, and that they recognize the fact that the people are in extreme need of this Da'wah, whether they be Kufaar or Muslimeen, Ya'nee, Kufaar from birth, or whether they be Ahlul-Bid'ah (the people of innovation, Both of them, all of these people are in need of the Da'wah. And it is you that I am holding in a position regarding that!'

Then the Shaykh said: '...[words are not clear]....agreed, you will not benefit from the Da'wah,[words are not clear], except that you remove from yourselves the likes of this differing that are taking place amongst you and that you turn over a new sheet.'

The Shaykh mention: 'Except though that there is something dangerous, that I am not aware of that is present amongst you and I have sought from both sides of the brothers, to present the affairs and the issues concerning, or the dangerous issues that have been mentioned concerning both sides and nothing has reached me. So I hope therefore, that which is present is nothing but some small affairs that does not necessitate or does not need to be brought to someone from the Scholars, whether myself or other than myself and that these affairs will be free today!'

The Questioner asked: 'How after this sitting do you deal with those, who after they have heard the advice of the Shaykh continue to sow the seeds of discord amongst the ranks of the devils?'

Shaykh Rabee' mentions that: 'I hope that this does not take place, ya'nee, that there is no one that is doing that, Inshaa'Allaah! I hope from all the brothers and all the individuals that are present, nothing but Khayr (Good) and nothing except that which will return back to the Da'wah [words were interrupted], but if there is something from that, an individual, he should be reminded of Allaahu Subhaanahu wa Ta'alaa. The brothers should remind him of Allaah concerning that which he entered into and if he continues upon that which he [words not clear]...should be presented to the Mashayikh in order to receive from them something from guidance in how to deal with the affair. I hope that this does not take place! It is possible that there are some things which need to be put to some of the Mashayikh concerning some of the Brothers, especially, that you are young and that some of you have something of a shortcoming in regards to knowledge and understanding, so there may be some affairs that need to be presented before the Mashayikh, but I hope that nothing from that which was mentioned in the question would or will take place.'

It seems that our noble Shakyh has been advising us (commom people) to stop differing and dividing (at least 9/04/02) for sometime now. When will we began to obey those who have authority over us?
